Pixel Valley is made and kept by one person. Write about anything — a question, a corner of the valley behaving oddly, or something you would like the valley to do. Every message is read.

Inside the app, the Almanac tab has a Correspondence section. Writing from there fills in the app version and device details for you, which usually saves a round trip. Those details are all it adds: your habits, your check-ins and your field notes are never included.
Questions that come up
Nothing seems to be where I left it
Nothing in Pixel Valley is ever deleted to make room for something else. If the valley looks wrong after an update or a restore, write before changing anything — the record is almost always still there, and a description of what you see is enough to find it.
Keeping a backup
Almanac → Backup → Export backup writes a plain file you keep wherever you like. Restore backup reads it back. Since everything lives on your device, this file is the copy that survives a lost or replaced phone if you do not use sync. If you are writing about anything to do with lost records, export a backup first and attach it.
Moving the valley to another device
Almanac → Sync across devices. Signing in with Apple keeps a copy so your own devices stay in step. Field notes and the weather marks that go with them stay on the device and are not part of sync — export a backup to carry those across.
The Expedition Pass
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. To change or cancel one, open the iOS Settings app → your name → Subscriptions, or use Manage in Apple Account in the Almanac tab. Cancelling leaves your valley exactly as it is; the pass only changes how much you can keep in hand at once.
Restoring a purchase on a new device happens on its own — the app asks Apple whether a purchase is active each time it opens. If it has not caught up, write and include the Apple Account you bought with.
Notifications
Notifications are scheduled by the app on your device, so they can be turned off in the iOS Settings app at any time without changing anything in the valley. No marketing notifications are ever sent.
Deleting what is held elsewhere
If you turned sync on, Almanac → Delete account erases the copy held on the server and stops syncing. What is on your device is not touched.
Privacy
What the app records, and what it does not, is set out in the Pixel Valley Privacy Policy. In short: what you record stays on your device, sync is optional, and field notes never leave the device.
