Gizmoroo (working title) Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Casa Pivote (“we”) makes Gizmoroo (a working title; “the app”), a puzzle toy mainly for children aged 4–6 (worlds 3–4 are the trickier ones). The app is in the App Store Kids Category and is built so that nothing about your child leaves the device.
1. What the app does not do
- No accounts, no sign-in, no email.
- No advertising and no third-party analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools.
- No chat and no social features. Links out of the app open only after the grown-ups' gate.
- The app does not send any information to us or to anyone else.
2. What is stored on the device only
- Which machines have been solved and treasures found, and how many minutes were played each day (shown in the grown-ups' page).
- Your child's age, picked during setup (required), used only to choose where your child starts (from age 6, the first world's four warm-up machines start open — they can still be played; from age 7, worlds 3 and 4 are open from the start instead of one after the other — world 3 after half of world 2, world 4 after half of world 3).
- A first name or nickname, if you choose to type one (optional), used only to address your child on screen.
- What matters most to you, picked during setup (the goal), used only to suggest the first daily play limit.
- Settings such as the daily play limit, sound and which worlds are shown.
This data stays in the app's local storage on the device. Deleting the app deletes it. Grown-ups → Start over clears all of it — the records, the minutes played, the name, the age, the goal and the daily limit — and the app starts again from its first page (the sound and shown-worlds settings stay; purchases belong to your Apple ID and are not affected).
3. Purchases
World 1 is free. Worlds 2–5 and free build open with an auto-renewing subscription (yearly with a 7-day free trial, or monthly) or with a one-time purchase (“For Ever”). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time, at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions or from the app's Grown-ups page. The app shows a day and hour one hour earlier still, to be safe. The app reminds you on the Grown-ups page before a free trial ends; it never sends notifications. If you choose, it can put the last day to cancel in your calendar: Apple's own event editor opens, you see the event before saving it, and the app neither asks for calendar access nor reads your calendar. The editor's other fields (such as invitees or a URL) are Apple's standard features: the app fills in only the title, the time and a note, and sends nothing. All of them work with Family Sharing (up to 6 family members). Purchases are handled by Apple (the App Store). We do not receive your name, payment details or anything else that identifies the buyer; Apple shares with us only anonymous, aggregated sales reports and, for people who allowed sharing on their device, usage and crash figures that Apple collects and aggregates anonymously (nothing that identifies anyone). To know what has been bought, and when a subscription renews, the app asks Apple on the device; nothing about it is sent to us.
